A great start

We have had a fantastic start to term 3. What an amazing class we have! We are really excited about our new programmes, and are looking forward to having lots of fun while we learn. I have enjoyed meeting everyone and exploring all that New Plymouth has to offer. Thanks so much for making me feel welcome.

A major focus for this term will be our production. Our theme is health - the invalids and the brave professionals who cared for them. If anyone has any skills or even historical stories to share with us, we would love to hear from you.

Farewell Lunch for Mrs Cameron

Today room 6 held a farewell lunch for Mrs Cameron.

Emily did a special speech for Mrs Cameron.

The Big Apple

I got a big appal from my aunts house. It was 879 grams. It growed on a little tree. The branch was skinny. The apple made it bend. It was going to fall off so I picked it. We are keeping the big apple at home.

Cooper came back from his holiday in Perth and found his pumpkin in Grandad's garden. It was only little when he went away.

Asha and Eliala have been practising this rhythm at home. They are really good at it. This is what they do, only they don't sound quite like this Cup Song

We can make music with UN tuned instruments. We made Notation it had a certain beat and rhythm 1 2 3 4 and 1&2 3 4. We also looked at a funny sign that is a rest. The beat is there but you don’t play it. It was very interesting the hearing the different beats. The drum keeps the 1 2 3 4 beat, other instruments make the other music which has the rhythm. Try not to speed the normal beat and rhythm otherwise it won’t sound right and sound like a thunder storm. You could try with some instruments at home it might sound cool.
